Las mejores melodías aparecidas en la decimosexta aventura oficial de James Bond y el álbum que originaron
Michael Kamen proporciona una banda sonora si bien no demasiado remarcable, sí muy eficiente. La canción principal cantada por Gladys Knight vuelve a los días en los que las películas Bond nunca utilizaban bandas de rock para la música. La canción parece poco inspirada al principio pero tras escucharla repetidamente mejora.
Mucho más impresionante es la canción que puede escucharse en los créditos finales – ‘If You Asked Me To‘, cantada por Patti Labelle. Aunque terminar las películas Bond con una canción de amor es una práctica cuestionable, esta vez funciona muy bien. Irónicamente, la canción se convirtió en un éxito mucho mayor varios años más tarde cuando Celine Dion lanzó su versión.
